Humane News - Holiday 2008

The holidays are upon us and you'll want to get in the spirit with the latest issue of the Humane News, our gorgeous holiday issue! It's all in Vol. 39, No.5 -- to read about the lives we've saved and turned around and much more!

This special Holiday Issue is in full color - all the better to see how lovely our Popcorn Park residents look, as well as our cat and dog orphans waiting for adoption. Read the story about a "Miracle on Evergreen Avenue" - a holiday tale if ever there was one - about a pup thrown in the garbage and now looking sweet and festive in her Santa hat - one lucky pup- and looking for a home.

But there are others. The two St. Bernard pups featured on the cover have benefitted from our ResQ Fund, but found that they have physical problems allowing them only one year to live. We're hoping for homes for them ... and also for their mom and dad who were surrendered with the female pregnant. Two pups that were severely starved are now waiting for adoption after recovering in our care, as is a sweet girl named Wishes who was abandoned with horrific damage to her rear leg. The good news - they're all on the mend and waiting for you. And the really great news? Two pups - one who had been hogtied and dragged and another who'd been abandoned in a laundry bag in a Newark park - both have fabulous homes. Happy Endings are the best!

You've just got to read the Holiday Humane News now!
