The abysmal animal cruelty, neglect, harsh treatment that yard dogs receive can be multiplied hundreds of times throughout the City of Newark. In discussions with the owners of such dogs, they see nothing wrong ...the owners do not see the loneliness & isolation that their dogs experience; the dogs become excited for a visit....a look...or a word from the person who holds the key to their loyalty & devotion.
The Animal Control Officer rescued this dog and the owner had no guilt or moral scruples about signing away the priceless best friend he ever had. He was probably not her first owner...but she was given away again...and again. Pebbles is living with us temporarily until she finds the home that will give her the love & acceptance she desires.
Our evaluators said she was excellent.,..easy to walk...people focused & sits on command. The gentle & sweet Pebbles was frightened by a toy & showed no interest in a bone. She is friendly & would love to meet and greet a new friend.
Thanks to our caring and compassionate supporters, we are able to continue to rescue and help animals in need like Pebbles every day. We still need your help ....please make a donation to our Res-Q Fund or text ResQ to 501501 to make a $10.00 donation.
Remember the loneliness that this little girl experienced. And for the dogs living like this....there are hundreds more like her. There is a hope burning in her heart & we need you to open your heart & home to Pebbles.
