The Associated Humane Societies' Newark shelter received an emergency alert from the Police Dept. concerning an emaciated pit bull that needed attention. AHS Animal Control Officer Tom Circle saw the sweet face and imploring eyes of a dog that needed and wanted help. She was brought to the AHS where she has been slowly improving from the debilitated condition in which she was found.
She arrived in time for St. Patrick's Day and she is lucky to be alive! Thanks to the AHS Res-Q Fund, these donation dollars are used for the additional care, medical staff and special tests needed before she was ready for adoption. Our staff has named her Edith and she has shown she does not blame people for the neglect and abuse she has suffered.
For more information on Edith, call AHS at 973-824-7080 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org and refer to File 29003-F.
