It was late on Friday night when the Associated Humane Societies was contacted to handle an emergency call concerning a young kitten. Animal Control Officer Tom Circle picked up the 3 month old male kitten with an injury to his paw.
He was immediately brought to the Animal Emergency & Referral Agency (AERA) in Fairfield for treatment. A broken paw had been left without care and so prompt attention was required. "Charlie" was given antibiotics to care for the swollen infected paw. An examination revealed that amputation was needed in an expeditious manner. Charlie was delivered to the AHS Tinton Falls shelter where Dr. Emily Marion was waiting for him.
He was immediately prepped for surgery & Charlie came through the operation like a Champ!
This adorable kitten is supurrr lucky to have been rescued & is hoping to find a meowvelous home. He is extremely affectionate & would love to find that empty lap he can enjoy for his lifetime!
