Erick was featured on the Home Page of this website after being rescued from Branch Brook Park and he has been with us since March.
He had been dumped in the popular park and was too weak and too frightened to run. (Read original story.) The park is famous as a dumping ground and pathetic animals can be found where they languish until they give up on life.
In the six weeks since he arrived, Erick has put on almost 15 pounds, and we have all fallen in love with this shy boy with the endearing overbite. He's a boxer mix, about 2 years old, who is calm, gentle and easy to handle. He is polite taking treats, his food test was good, and he was very well behaved with the dogs he met outside. He still doesn’t have the desire to play with toys, but once he’s in a good home and know he’s loved and cared for, he will undoubtedly become more playful. Erick is sweet and deserves a loving home.
Erick still has that sad look in his eyes.
The staff and volunteers have spent time with him to bolster the confidence of a dog suffering from a broken heart. Your donations help us with our vigorous adoption program in which the orphans are given all necessary inoculations, altered, taken on day trips and visits to pet adoption days.
