When a Newark resident brought in a stray poodle mix that she found in the street, we were somewhat skeptical concerning the honesty of her story. And we will never know what frightening despair this dog experienced before she came to us.
Her tightly woven matted coat made it difficult for her to navigate very far. Judging from the appalling condition of her coat, it is believed she was kept in very tight quarters. As soon as she arrived, the poodle-type was given over to the kind hands of groomer Sandy Kauffman. Within a few hours, our camera caught what was a life-changing experience! Her joy and elation was obvious after she had been freed from an imprisoning hell.
The dog was allegedly found on Tiffany Blvd. and so we have given her that name: Tiffany. And for this young lady, there are no bad memories. Life is good -- a bottomless food bowl ... a nice sweater … a walk in the cold, crisp air … and more promises to come.
