When a realtor was holding an estate sale at a Union County residence, one of the items put up for sale was a basket of two kittens. At the end of the day after no one wanted the two homeless kittens, the senseless realtor took them out of the house and put the basket at the curb.
Thankfully, a good samaritan rescued the kittens who could have easily had a horrible ending to their day at the auction block. Tequila & Taco, a male and female pair, were brought to the AHS Newark shelter where they have been checked, given all necessary inoculations and de-worming and are now ready to find a meowvelous future.
For more information on the pair of pussycats, call AHS at 973-824-7080 and refer to 15120 for Tequila and 15121 for Taco. You can also contact us regarding the two adorable kittens. The Associated Humane Societies has a special Fall for a Feline Adoption Program for only $25.00. The donation includes collar, tag, microchip, carrier and spay/neuter.
Due to the overwhelming number of cats and kittens that arrive at AHS on a daily basis, we have instituted the Fall for a Feline Adoption Program. The AHS shelters in Newark, Tinton Falls and Forked River are all hoping that you will stop by any day between noon and 4 p.m.
Since AHS is an open door facility, we have taken in many unwanted, abused, handicapped, sick and injured cats --- and dogs in need of help and hope. If you cannot adopt a feline, please make a donation and help us to help them until they are adopted.
