Puppies Rescued from Local Dog Owner

A story concerning these adorable pups was recently posted on our website. The original complaint the AHS received mentioned a "backyard breeder".

After an investigation, we found that a female dog had given birth to five pups. After a meeting with our ACO, the owner gave the pups to AHS for all necessary medical care, altering, etc. and ultimate adoption.

We have now received an e-mail from the Sayreville dog owner who advised us to immediately remove the article because she is not a backyard breeder. It was not our intent to label the dog owner as a backyard breeder -- this was the complaint that was given to us for investigation.

In order to be fair, we are giving the dog owner's side of the story:

WE ARE NOT BACKYARD BREEDERS HOW DARE YOU WRITE THIS ARTICLE IT WAS AN ACCIDENT THAT HAPPENED OUR VOICES WILL BE HEARD this is in regard to the fabulous 5 article we are not illegal breeders in sayreville if we were illegal breeders we would've had 4 sets of puppies it was an accident she had a doggy diaper on and bit a hole in it when we were sleeping it is not our fault they had sex please remove the article.

Yes, accidents do happen and if the owner's dogs are not altered, they may end up having sex while the owner is asleep and voila! More puppies.

Since the AHS has possession of the pups, it will enable us to do background checks to insure that the pups will go into loving & lasting homes.

Thanks to donations made by animal lovers to support our efforts, you can be assured that all pups will be adopted with loving lifetime commitments.

To know more about the "Fabulous Five", they are at the AHS Tinton Falls shelter located at 2960 Shafto Road in Tinton Falls, near the Route 33-34 Circle. For more information, call AHS at 732-922-0100 or e-mail us.

The AHS is open 7 days a week for your convenience. There are many adorable adult dogs including terriers, Shih Tzus, Lhasa Apsos, German Shepherds, Yorkshire Terriers, Maltese, Mastiffs, Pit Bull Terriers, American Bull Dogs and lots of cats and kittens waiting for a meowvelous home.
