When the AHS received a complaint regarding a backyard breeder, Animal Control Officer/Investigator Kevin Rooney went to the Sayreville residence to verify the matter.
Five pups had been born to a female dog belonging to the individual. After meeting with the dog owner, ACO Rooney advised that it was against their local ordinance. Once the pups were old enough to be separated from their mother, the AHS took possession of them. The pups were then given their first puppy inoculation and then fostered until their second shot could be administered.
The owner agreed to have the male and female dogs altered shortly thereafter.
Thanks to donations made by animal lovers like you to support our efforts, you can be assured that all pups will be adopted with loving lifetime commitments.
