Pepe - 2 Hearts Broken and Smug Satisfaction in A Family Argument

Our darling friend Pepe came to us when his 90+ year old owner was forced to give him up. This nice gentleman had to move in with family and unfortunately, Pepe was not welcome. After spending the last 9 years together, both his owner and Pepe were just devastated to have to part ways.

We were all just heartbroken for Pepe, (and his owner), so we set up a comfortable suite for Pepe and he became one of our office mascots. He is getting lots of love and attention from our staff and we are doing our best to keep him in good spirits. In order to keep his mind off of his current situation, we try to keep him as occupied as possible.

Since Pepe is extremely overweight, we are all giving lots of walks every day, which he just loves. Our head veterinarian, Dr. Baris, has taken Pepe under her wing and has him on an exercise program that she created just for her new friend Pepe, but due to the lousy weather conditions that we've been experiencing, she had to take her daily jogging-with-Pepe routine indoors, as you will see here. Pepe is only too happy to jog right alongside Dr. Baris and we are so happy to see him smiling once again.

Pepe is ready for a fresh start in life in a wonderful new home. He is about 9 years old and is the perfect companion. He gets along well with dogs, cats, and people of all ages. You can't ask for a better best friend than Pepe. Come on in and meet our beautiful beagle and see for yourself!

This sad tale was filled with anger and bitterness against a 93 year old man whose only loving possession was his dog. The remarks made by a family member was that "he always wins arguments...but he's not winning this one". Now they can sell the house. And they have taught him a lesson. Pepe's owner called the next day to see how he was. The ACO had the repulsive job of taking Pepe away from the man who had him since he was a pup. Our ACO tried to talk to the family & asked if AHS could bring Pepe to visit -- to bring a little happiness in both of their lives. But this did not appeal to them. And so they have won the argument and gotten their way......And now two hearts are broken.
