Our darling little lady Cookie just wanted to drop by and update you all on how her recovery is going since she came to us about three weeks ago. Cookie is responding very well to her medications, special diet, medicated baths and exercise program that we have her on, and she's feeling better and better every day! It's a bit slow going for Cookie, but she'll get there ….. we're sure of that.
Cookie came to us when she was turned in by her family who could no longer care for her. She was purchased as a puppy about 8 years ago, and nearly 4 years ago, she had an allergic reaction due to a flea infestation. Due to a lack of treatment and veterinary care, Cookie's condition worsened to the point that it is now. Read about Cookie's many health problems in her original post.
Even with all of this going on, Cookie could not be any nicer. She is just as sweet as can be and loves everyone she meets. She seems quite relieved and grateful to finally be getting the treatment that she so desperately needed. We are all so grateful to all of you, for helping us to help little Cookie. Were it not for our Res-Q Fund, we would not be able to help her, and so many others like her. Please make a donation to our Res-Q Fund to help.
Cookie still has a long road to recovery ahead of her, but we're pleased with the progress that she's made so far. Every day, she tells us a little more about how she's feeling, and she keeps us all laughing with the conversations that she has with us. She will make some lucky family very happy to welcome her into their hearts and home when she is finally ready to be adopted. In the meantime, please stay tuned for more from our little lady, Cookie.
