Everything that our veterinarians and the vet staff at Northstar vets did saved his eye.
Sunday, October 26, we had to sedate Dante for a check-up on the eye he injured a few months ago. The graft and patch that was surgically done right after the injury held on long enough to allow his eye to fully inflate and stay inflated. It worked great and saved his eye; we did not have to remove it. The third eyelid which was sutured shut allowed the eye to heal. This was the best we had hoped for.

Getting a dental while he was sedated.
He does not have much sight out of his right eye, but the eye does react to light. Our veterinarian staff removed the sutures holding the third eye lid closed, and now he feels and looks so much better. If and when you visit, you will see a cloudiness to the eye, but it has been saved, and although he has limited vision, he feels so much better. At 18 years old, Dante is one tough tiger. He seems to make it through any obstacle in his way.

Getting ready to wake him up.
You can help defray the cost of these medical procedures by donating to our Res-Q Fund. Your help is greatly appreciated in keeping Dante and our many Popcorn Park residents in the best health possible.

He looks and feels so much better.
